BMI Calculator
Calculate adult body mass index in metric or imperial units.
For adults aged 20 and over. BMI does not diagnose health and is not a substitute for individual medical advice.
How to use this tool
Choose metric or imperial units, enter height and weight, and select Calculate BMI. Metric height is in centimeters; imperial height is in inches, not feet.
What to know about the result
The formula is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. For example, 70 kg and 175 cm gives about 22.9 kg/m². This page gives the numeric result without diagnosing a health condition. BMI does not distinguish fat from muscle and does not describe someone’s overall health.
